How Obolith works
Where the prices come from
LLM API prices are collected daily from the OpenRouter API, which aggregates published pricing across most providers. The timestamp at the top of the table shows the last successful collection. Prices are provided for information only and are not a quote - always confirm on the provider’s own site before buying.
What “blended” means
Input and output tokens are priced differently, and most real workloads use more input than output. The blended number weights input 3× to output - a rough single figure for ranking. Sort by input or output directly when that matters more for your case.
blended $/1M = (3 × input + output) ÷ 4
Independence
Rankings are never for sale. Some outbound links are affiliate links: if you sign up through them, Obolith may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This never changes the order of the table or the data shown. Providers that pay nothing (AWS, GCP, Azure, Hetzner) are listed the same way as any other.
Spotted an error?
Prices move and collection can miss things. If a number looks wrong - especially if you work for one of the listed providers - email hello@obolith.com.
